Should These Out-of-State Bills be Considered in NY?

NORTH CAROLINA NC BILL 13

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, rescue attempts are time critical. Therefore North Carolina has proposed a bill whereby all new drivers licenses will have an optional section whereby the driver can have entered their blood type. Should this bill be brought forward in NYS as well?

INDIANA SENATE BILL NO. 7

Provides that beginning July 1, 2023 a physician and an employer may not enter into a non-compete agreement. Should this bill be brought forward in NYS as well?

OHIO SENATE BILL 12

Establishes a veteran-owned business enterprise certification program under the Department of Development. It also increases the value of set-aside state purchasing contracts from 15% to 20% of the estimated total value of purchases per fiscal year. And reserves 5% of state purchasing contracts for certified veteran-owned business enterprises. The bill makes duly certified veteran-owned business enterprises eligible for contract purchases set aside by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and other state agencies. Under current law, only certified minority business enterprises are eligible for these contracts. Should this bill be brought forward in NYS as well?
