The Protection of
Women & Girls in Sports Act
As of Feb 26th the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025 (H.R. 28) has passed the House and is now awaiting consideration in the Senate. This bill seeks to amend Title IX to ensure that women’s and girls’ sports are reserved exclusively for biological females, upholding the very purpose of Title IX—providing equal opportunities for women in sports.
For decades, female athletes have fought for recognition and equal treatment in sports. Allowing biological males, who possess inherent physiological advantages, to compete in women’s categories undermines decades of progress. Science confirms that male-born athletes have greater muscle mass, bone density, and cardiovascular capacity—advantages that cannot be erased by hormone therapy. This creates an uneven playing field, depriving female athletes of scholarships, records, and championship opportunities.
This bill is not about exclusion—it is about protecting the rights of female athletes. Women and girls deserve a level playing field, free from unfair competition that threatens their dreams and opportunities.
